Thursday 26. Sep, 19:00 - 22:00
Bø
On Thursday 26 September, we invite you to a diverse lecture on women's health, accompanied by (alcohol-free) bubbles, strawberries and chocolate.
JOHANNE SUNDBY is a doctor, professor emerita and one of the world's foremost experts on women's health. She will tell us about the many aspects of women's physical and mental health, and about various dilemmas in understanding gender equality. Last year, Sundby received the King's Medal of Merit for his efforts in this area. She has also worked softly internationally, and will draw on global perspectives.
With this, Bø Women's Forum wants to contribute to increased focus and pressure on an area that is all too often given low priority. After the lecture, there will be a joint conversation, where local health resources are also invited.
The proceeds from the evening's PODCAST will go to the "Cathrine Hamlin Fistula Foundation", which offers Ethiopian women treatment of serious birth defects. Johanne Sundby also donates her fee to this organization.
ENTRANCE NOK 100,- // students NOK 50,- // under 18 years free.
Tickets can be purchased at the door.
The lecture starts at 7 pm, but the doors open for serving and talking at 6.30 pm. Bø Bok & Papir will also present a bunch of current books for the evening.
Welcome!
