We will be visited by Mari Fallet Mosand who will be giving us a course in basket weaving/bag making.

This is a slightly longer day course where we make a bag/basket in willow with a wooden handle. The basket starts with a square bottom, which gradually becomes an oval shape as it goes up the basket. The technique is inspired by Catalan baskets. This is a very interesting and beautiful project, which can be varied a lot in terms of size, shape, colors, weaving technique and function. The course is well suited for beginners. If you have been on a willow weaving course before and woven baskets on a round bottom, this will be a great course to learn a different, and a little more efficient way to build a basket.PS! Bring a branch you like to make a handle for the basket. There are sticks for everyone to hold, but if you want to find your own special handle, you are encouraged to bring it!
When: Monday, March 9, 10-18. Break about 13-14. Bring a packed lunch.
